"Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams is accusing members of the Quebec Innu of trying to provoke violence with their recent caribou hunt in western Labrador."

Provoke  violence from who?  The caribou... or from those protecting the best interest of the companies planning to do the mining?

And NoDifference info in the link you put up has been removed by someone.  That is why I often risk "copyright infringment" by quoting the important parts of what the link leads to.  That has happened to me one too many times as well.

That's really strange - several instances of this article on the internet have disappeared! Here's a working link (as of now!) to the OP's article:

"We spent three hours signing six volumes," Penashue said Wednesday. "That was a lot of initialling for an agreement that dealt with Upper Churchill redress, Lower Churchill (impacts and benefits) and the land claims agreement."

Kathy Dunderdale, Newfoundland's natural resources minister, said the signing of the hefty file marked a turning point for the province.

"The devil is in the details," she said. "As far as the province and the Innu are concerned, we have made our final agreement."

This is about hydro-electricity. There is also no "company" behind this, unless you're referring to NALCOR, which by the way is a crown corporation.
