Stan Grant is a journalist of Wiradjuri origin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiradjuri and Guardian Australia’s Indigenous affairs editor. He gave a stirring speech about anti-Indigenous racism as the "foundation of the Australian dream" - though he also praises positive aspects of Australian society.
It is a stirring speech, only 8 minutes, well worth a listen: http://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2016/jan/24/stan-grants-speech... I'm not going to peruse all the comments, but one commenter speculated that the 10-year gap in life expectancy between Australian Indigenous peoples and the society as a whole might be due to "genetics". Funny then that there is a similar gap way up here at the other end of the world.
