Kitchener Waterloo Protests

On Friday December 21, 2012 Kitchener/Waterloo will rally in support of the Idle No More movement. Starting at 1668 King Street East in
Kitchener and 75 King Street South in Waterloo, we will walk the half an hour it takes to get to 200 King Street West where we will rally in front of Kitchener City Hall. One hunger striker will be spending the night of Thursday December 20, 2012; in front of city hall in support of Chief Theresa Spence of the Attawapiskat community. The hunger strike if you’d like to join will go from Thursday December 20, 2012 at 7pm to Friday December 21, 2012 at 7 pm and we will break our fast for the winter solstice. We need as many possible walkers and hunger strikers as we can get in order to gain support for the Original Peoples of Turtle Island.
Quote from Idle No More Mission Statement
“Idle No More calls on all people to join in a revolution which honors and fulfills Indigenous sovereignty which protects the land and water. Colonization continues through attacks to Indigenous rights and damage to the land and water. We must repair these violations, live the spirit and intent of the treaty relationship, work towards justice in action, and protect Mother Earth.”
Join us December 21, 2012 to protect our Indigenous Sovereignty!
