Pipeline hysteria: Harper's petro-state doubles down
voice of the damned

Albertans might also consider politicians are very adept at exercising short term expediencies ending in long term pain at our expense. Their dedication to their political survival is absolute; while their dedication to the public good is too often flushable.  Instead of vilifying British Columbia you should be looking at the long term implications of tar sands expansion.

You must also consider the tar sands are an environmental time bomb; and your responsibilities as worthy custodians go well beyond your borders. The rule of law favors you; but the law can too often be an ass, especially when the process is so easily corrupted and presided over by a weak leader.

The rule of law favours Alberta on this? Glad that's settled.
