Protest Barrick Gold - April 28, Toronto
April 15, 2010 - 2:01pm
Barrick is one of the filthiest of Canadian mining companies. Join the protest at their annual shareholders' meeting at the Metro Convention Centre, at 11:00 a.m., at the Metro Convention Centre. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=113078698713183

Bump
One last bump.
Very good, upbeat, noisy demo today. About 75-80 people chanted "Barrick Gold, Canada's shame" and "Shame on you Barrick Gold, human rights cannot be sold" while Barrick's directors and shareholders walked in and out of their meeting.
So glad it went well! Wish I had been there instead of in a meeting. :(
