Union racism

I came across this blog that describes Union racism in CAW. Seems a non-white man applying for a Union posted job was twice denied the job, even though he had all the neccessary qualifications. Unqualified whites were twice given the job and there is nothing he can do it seems. Very explicit blog, very revealing. Seems that the racists in this Local had tried to get people of colour from another Union to somehow discredit this man (Union politics) and this backfired spectaclularly according to this blog. Let me know the reactions of Babblers.

Not very helpful if there are serious issues that need to be dealt with as suggested. Sounds like the campaign of a disgruntled member to me, particularly the part about not getting support from other racialized people. Not saying there's no issue, just that this will not be a productive way to go about dealing with it.
Personally, I have never seen a union discriminate out here in BC....and no I do not think this will be a productive measure of dealing with it, if it even exists, either...

Never did an indepth read just looked for the link and read the first post on the blog, and have absolutely no issue about this thread being closed...
If heywood can get away with calling unions the mob anything should go though......
This is vicious anti labour garbage, and does nothing to aid or promote either anti-racism or contribute to any discussion to promote the betterment of practices within labour. This troll is gone. May as well close the thread.
