Where is the opposition to Senator Boisvenu's racist proposals?

Mr. Boisvenu said that instead of using the death penalty against the Afghan-born Shafias, “returning them to their country might be a tougher sentence than to keep them here, where our prisons are a lot more comfortable.” He added that the Canadian immigration system should ensure that newcomers agree with Canadian justice after a more “thorough analysis” of their values and beliefs.
“The first filter is whether there are particular communities that have anti-Canadian attitudes?” Mr. Boisvenu said. “Shouldn’t these cases be treated parsimoniously, with a much more thorough investigation, than people coming from France or the United States where there is much more respect for women.”
Bob Rae and Nycole Turmel and Pat Martin and others have vocally condemned Boisvenu for recommending that convicted murderers and the like should be able to decide whether or not to take their own lives. I have no problem with that proposal. Prisoners have far fewer means to commit suicide, should they so choose, than the rest of us, and suicide has been legal for over 40 years.
But how is it that Turmel and Rae and the rest have nothing to say about Boisvenu's racist immigration proposal?
While Rae and Turmel and the loudmouth Pat Martin get caught up in the wrong issue, even the MSM are noticing Boisvenu's racism:

Boisvenu said that new immigrants to Canada who come from countries where honour killing or "non-Canadian" values are present should be more carefully screened before being allowed entry.
I don't know why they don't pay attention.
it seems to me that domestic abuse/murder is in fact entirely consistent with our past and present canadian culture, but we just look at it differently when it's muslim people doing it. We call it an "honor killing"...what the hell do they think the guy who killed his ex girlfriend, her new boyfriend and two other people on a highway is?
Teach women self defense, and arm them.
