Hey everyone. The Toronto-based rabble staff team would like to invite any and all babblers, bloggers, writers, podcasters and all other contributors who are in and around the Toronto area to an end-of-year gathering.

I will be there. Sadly, Catchfire will not. I will accept purchased drinks on his behalf, however, none of that fermented hops and barley crap. Peh.

Come on out and meet folks in person! Rumours are that the Michelle/oldgoat team will be there supervising the drunken dart tournament. Incoming! Duck!

When: Wednesday, December 15th, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Where: The Tranzac Club, 292 Brunswick St, Toronto, 3 short blocks west of Spadina and Bloor, or four (five?) short blocks east of Bathurst and Bloor. The Tranzac is a bit south of Bloor Street on the west side of Brunswick.

Pass all the poseurs at Future Bakery and you'll be fine.

Come hang out and toast the holidays with Toronto-based rabble staff, volunteers and contributors.

Appetizers, cash bar, great tunes and conversation.

Please RSVP to events@rabble.ca

Bacchus: toddlers, spouses and spices welcome. I'm generally no good with babies, but yours sure is a charmer.

PB, dude, you gotta come! I'll buy my own tequila shots, deal?

The charmer has gotten worse, you're in trouble

Don't know what kind of tequila selection the Tranz has.  They do have a good (and cheap) collection of the barley and hops (just for Maysie).

Hey will you be there, jrootham?

I'm sure I can make do with vodka and cran. Wink

Your silver rimmed monocle has nothing on our platinum monocles in Toronto. Likewise, we are true champagne socialists - you're a sparkling white wine socialist. Much less amusing.

I'm sure you can beer up under the strain of this rejection, Catchfire. Wink

Would that be an ale strain or a lager strain, Caissa? Whatever the antidote, I'll hop to it.

Papal Bull: here on the best coast, our monocles are made of organic, fair-trade quinoa strands and we drink farmhouse sparkling blackberry wine from fruit plucked on our own homesteads. Also, we go home at 8:30 pm.

ETA. Up yours, rabble establishment.

omfg.

Is this a pissing contest, lefty-guy style? Because if there's too much of this talk on the 15th I might have to bring my laptop and moderate while inebriated. That'll show ya.

And Catchfire you damn anarchist, I would have invited you but I knew you couldn't attend, so I was trying to be polite. Next time I won't bother okay? Jeeeeeez.

Actually, a leftist-male pissing contest is to see who can get furthest in writing 'you have nothing to lose but your chains' in the snow.

Hmmmmm...

A night of bevvies with fellow T.O. babblers, or an evening of un-moderated rampaging here?

...decisions, decisions...

Hey! Catchfire, the abandoned West coast moderator will be sober and on duty that night.

I do not recall seeing that provision in my contract, Maysie. Honestly, at this point, I don't see me and sober being a couple until well into 2011.

Catchfire, we talked about this. I have another 3 years and 356 days to stay as drunk as possible. Unless I move in with you and your partner in the gorgeous city of Vancouver.

(....waits for invite.....)

Okay, so we're clear then?

Good.

But yay to seeing RevolutionPlease, N.R.Kissed and Polunatic.

Judy Rebick and Linda Mcquaig were there so I smiled at them, said hello and then studiously ignored them while talking to the real celebs Maysie, Michelle, Oldgoat and LTJ

Damn those ciders are tasty.

It was great to see babblers N.R.Kissed, Lard Tunderin' Jeezus, jrootham, Cueball, Ms. Cueball and baby Cueball (who charmed us all), Polunatic, Michelle, Radiorahim, oldgoat, and jrose.

Nice to see all the Toronto rabble staff as well. And bloggers such as Krystalline Kraus.

The fake fire was lovely, and radiorahim's tunes were rocking. Except for Shania Twain.

Tiny cupcakes !!!! Yum.

The only not quite so good thing was that it was like two separate parties happening in the same place.  There was a Rabble party and a Babble party and the twain did not mix a lot.
