I was at The Taste of the Danorth on the weekend and a butterfly landed on my back for 6 minutes.
I was at The Taste of the Danforth on the weekend in Toronto and a very strange thing happened. I was chatting with some people and a large crowd started gathering around my back and pointing and taking pictures. I found that strange, and asked "what's that all about" and someone told me a butterfly had landed on my backpack.
I asked if someone could use my camera to get a picture of it with my camera, since I could not see it.
I didn't know what it looked like until I got home and have since found out it is native to our area and is called a "Question Mark" butterfly.
It landed on my back for about 5-6 minutes and several people got pictures of it.
The festival was attended by well over 1 million over the three days and it was a great event.
The rostiserre quail and the Gyros were a big hit but there was all kinds of great food and entertainment, if you did not go I suggest you make plans to attend next summer.
The lineup for the roasted quail (it's like a small chicken) was even bigger and it looks so delicious.
There were about 50 people lined up for the quail in 2-3 locations along the 3 km route.

Oh yea, and yes it is real, the butterfly and I found out it is called, it's a "Question Mark" (Polygonia interrogationis) butterfly.
