Every time I write letters to the politicians I get flooded with spam. Is one or more of the political parties selling my email address?

Definitions of spam differ. I don't find it too much of a chore to "check" unwanted mail and delete.

My greater concern is illegal access to one's E-address book and spam going to others as though it had come from that user.

Sure. Me too. That's not the point. Why do I get a surge of spam after e-mailing politicians?

your email address is probably ending up on a database that a spammer has acquired access too.

i doubt that Canadian public workers are selling email addresses to spam advertisers.

Maybe not, but what about the Conservative database? Maybe it is really the Conservative Constituency E-Marketing Database.

An envelope of white powder is way more fun than a letter about how little old you feels that the ship should be steered.

N.B. - whatever happened with that whole anthrax scare anyways?
