Hello everyone,

I need your help. I am doing a research paper on gay blogs and there effect on media, people perceptions, and the government. Sadly, I am having a hard time finding relevant martial that is non-pornographic. If anyone know of any good site (that are political in natures dealing with LGBTQ rights in either Canada or the USA) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for you time,
Scania

Just about every left-of-centre political blog devotes some blogspace to gay rights. There are self-styled "gay blogs" like Queerty and GAY (Good As You). You can also try Technorati and search for blog with a gay theme.

Hello and welcome

There's also Beyondhomophobia which contains some scholarly work on the subject, and other links which you may find useful. As well, there's this site by the same person.

Welcome, from a fellow-Carleton-ite. (Well, a former Carleton-ite, if that's what we call ourselves.)

Good luck with your search!

I can think of several blogs in my head. Here's a list of blogs that haven't been covered:

Another Canadian: Queer Thoughts

(Incidentally, I flagged the spam just above me. You seem to get a lot of people selling essays. At the blog, lately, I'm getting a lot of people flogging music videos but no essays. Interesting.)

Scania, I just want to point out that definitions of what is considered "pornographic" differ quite a bit, in the Gay community especially. Just because something is explicit or "not suitable for the workplace" doesn't mean if falls out of the LGBT mainstream and you should be careful you don't dismiss any particular site too quickly.

That being said, good luck on your project, and has anyone suggested Box Turtle Bulletin to you yet?

[ETA: you might also consider browsing through the EnMasse forums - you will find significantly more linkage to LGBT blogs and other material there than here... not sure of the etiquette about pointing you in that direction, I am sure someone will let me know if it is appropriate or not...]

Scania posted this over two years ago.  This is either no longer relevant to her, or she's facing some serious loss of marks for lateness.

Embarassed well that will teach me to look at the date of the OP, rather than the thread's appearance as an active topic. Let me guess, we got a visit from the spam gnomes, and they reactivated the thread?

Admirably drafted theme, if only all bloggers provided the same idea as you, the internet would be a much greater place. And it’s well known that It is not work that murder gentleman, it is worry. Can I suggest you a great place where you can find original term papers. Please keep it up! Cheers.

Ok that's it! I'm closing this fricken fracken troll-magnet of a thread.
