I thought I would post a second thread after this one to talk about saving money and also ways to save money and reduce your garbage due to the recent garbage strike in Toronto
I use refillable bottles for my laundry, dish etc soap that can be refilled at various locations within the city, cheaper and less garbage.
Any plastic bags I get from stores I use as garbage bags, one less garbage bag to be used.
And aside from the garbage savings for my slush fund I opened it up in a tax free account so that the interest that I earn on it is not taxable.
