babble is rabble.ca's discussion board but it's much more than that: it's an online community for folks who just won't shut up. It's a place to tell each other — and the world — what's up with our work and campaigns.
Mods, can these accidental duplicate threads I started please be locked?

I was having trouble getting that thread started. Sorry.
Hi Ken, I'll remove the threads, but my permissions seem messed up right now so I can't do it right away. In the future, just send RW and I a PM rather than starting another thread I'll have to close or remove.
Thanks!
Try not to ban yourself.
Honestly, I thought it was a crafty move by oldgoat. Finally, a way out!
What would your new name be if you DID ban yourself, Catch?
(next time I will send a pm...sorry for another unnecessary thread and thanks for the tip).
No.
No.
No.
No.
(Ha, I amuse me.)
Could the mods please open a thread to delete Michelle's duplicate posts and then ban her several times?
Thanks.
Great deals now via Paypal / Western Union
I've been trying to get banned for years. YEARS. ;)
This running gag is turning into Kafka meets "Robespierre Guillotines the Guillotiner after having Guillotined all of France"
What do you mean, "running gag"? I've already almost forgotten about oldgoat banning himself.
Kids these days.... if it didn't happen five minutes ago it's ancient history. No sense of continuity.
(Edit)
Though I should add, with all these threads glitching back from the past, we'll probably have more reminders.
Yeah what's up with that? Seeing the Libby Davies thread on tat with my former mod snarkorama closing it was a bit freaky.
Heh. That's another feature of our new software. When a user flags a post on an old thread as offensive, it "updates" the thread and bumps it to the top of AT. Some poor fragile soul objected to a babbler's use of the word "fucker." I demurred, but it did mean we had to re-live the past briefly.
Thanks for the tip on how to headline old closed threads, CF!
If Robespierre had "Guillitined all of France" wouldn't he ALREADY have Guillotined himself? Did he glue his own head back on and RE-Guillotine himself just to make the punchline work? And how would you Guillotine yourself? Did they have a remote for it?
Yeah, that's the one (though not the first time). It was kind of a neat blast from the past, I thought.
Since you mention it, they did have to practically glue his head on. After he got shot in the face his jaw was only held on by a bandage, which they had to rip off in order to get the whole mess to fit into the humane contraption.
By rights the executioner only deserved half-wages for the job, if you ask me.
But in case you were wondering, that is the actual title of the cartoon.
OK. And the fact that they taped his head on to chop it off again makes it even MORE Karfaesque.
