Causes of cancer as identified in the President's Report on Cancer:

the use of sunscreens in childhood that fail to block long wave ultraviolet light;

ionizing radiation;

phenoxy herbicides;

phenylenediamine hair dyes;

pesticides;

hormonal ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products;

hormonal risks from exposure to Bisphenol-A (BPA) and other toxic plastic contaminants;

estrogen residues in meat;

nitrite preservatives in meats, particularly hot dogs;

genital use of talc powder;

birth control pills;

estrogen replacement therapy;

diagnostic radiation;

routine premenopausal mammography, with a cumulative breast dose exposure of up to about five rads over ten years;

------------

Here is the link to the article where I found those.

This article also blasts the American Cancer Society for their refusal to identify causes of cancers that are related to industrial and commercial products:

{the Canadian Cancer Society has not been much better, having refused to identify "toxic chemicals and products that can cause cancers". I think the CCS has recently said that BPA is a carcinogen, so that is a step in the right direction.

Another announcement this month is that it was "admitted" that cancer rates are increasing, as are death rates from cancer.

That is significant because the cancer societies, including the CCS in Canada, have been claiming that they are "winning the battle against cancer". That lie was perpetrated mostly to keep the research grants flowing, but there has been a sharp decline in cancer reasearch grants in the past few years so they had to try something different.

They even fudged the definition of "death from cancer" as meaning that victims survived for 5 years after diagnosis, but we saw through that. People are getting more cancers than ever, and dying of them just about as much as ever.

Q: What are the causes of cancer?

ANS: it has a lot to do with fossil fuels, pollution, toxins, diet, chemicals. [those industries were being protected too!]

The Secret History of the War on Cancer (a free e-book) by Dr Devra Davis(U.S.)

Quote:
Why has the "War on Cancer" languished, focusing mainly on finding and treating the disease and downplaying the need to control and combat cancer's basic causes - tobacco, the workplace, radiation, and the general environment? This war has targeted the wrong enemies with the wrong weapons, failing to address well-known cancer causes.
As epidemiologist Devra Davis shows in this superbly researched exposé, this is no accident. The War on Cancer has followed the commercial interests of industries that generated a host of cancer-causing materials and products. This is the gripping story of a major public health effort diverted and distorted for private gain that is being reclaimed through efforts to green health care and the environment.

So we should quit smoking, drinking and dairy foods,  and then we can cross our fingers that industrial pollution and industrial food doesn't weaken our bodies before cancer destroys us down the road. Judging the way it is and comparing to dr Lawrence Britt's ninth defining characteristic of fascism, corporate power really is protected. Everyone knows it.

"Consider this...

   Each diagnosis of cancer is (on average) worth somewhere between $300,000 and $500,000 to the medical industry. More than half of this money goes to the drug companies. Due to lobbying and other incentives, it’s no secret that both the FDA and the AMA are heavily influenced by drug companies.
   What if we’re not crazy? What if nutrition could not only prevent cancer, but cure it as well? What would the FDA, politicians, drug companies, unhealthy food companies, and the American Cancer Society stand to gain? What do they stand to lose? OLM

Those are both very interesting sites, and that fact about "cancer case is worth up to $500,00" is damning to the idea of having profit involved in health care - it is incentive to do exactly what we have seen - no cures, just diagnosis and ongoing treatments that suck your savings dry and then you die.

Have you noticed how many famous people, movie stars and so on, are dying of cancer? High profile deaths might make regular people aware of the plague that is being played down by the health industry.

No, we are not crazy. We have been told we are, but we are not - in cancer there are natural cures, the causes are mostly industrial chemicals and consumer products.

Plus, those "Cancer Society" groups are all about protecting the cancer industry, and not helping the cancer victims. The cancer industry started to see some criticisms and protests, so they set up an "advocacy group" that people thinks will be helping them organise their protests, but no, it was all a deflection.

Cancer is a bigger crime than wars are. I bet that 90% of cancer deaths never needed to happen - we could have avoided the causes, and we didn't need the toxic and ineffective treatments because there are natural [unpatentable] cures. It is like the electric car - they simply don't want us to have them.

Cancer One, War Less Than One

HuffPo wrote:
President Nixon declared a war on cancer on Dec. 23, 1971. The war on cancer is arguably being lost on a daily basis. My daughter Alexis Agin, just two weeks shy of her fifth birthday, became yet another name etched on the proverbial wall of names who laid down their life in this war. Sure, some battles may have been won, but the war rages on, worse than ever, all these years after the initial battle cry. Unfortunately, some in the medical profession are estimating that cancer deaths may in fact double in less than 20 years.
