The other fun thing about "colon cleansers" is that the few sites I visited the last time this bullshit (no pun intended) appeared on babble (I think it was through a google ad back when we were running those) are full of pictures of long, snakey gobs of poop. Yes indeed, if you ever wanted to see great big strings of globby poop filled with mucous, colon cleansing sites are your thing.
Personally, I think the people who run these sites are really trying to tap into the scat porn market.
