How many NDP Governments in Canada are required before the CBC News Dept stops being negative about or just ignores the NDP?

I can't remember when I last saw a CBC News Dept clip that wasn't in some way panning the NDP.

I remember when the NDP was the Official Opposition in Ottawa and the CBC News Dept revered the positions, and treated the Liberals like they were the Official Opposition, and the NDP like they were a third place party. And now that the NDP are a third place party the CBC News Dept treats the NDP like it doesn't even exist.

So just askin' and not, in any way, restricting these comments to just federal politics because it's the same shit provincially in BC.

Fortunately, at least Lower Mainland morning radio listeners are clueing into this CBC News Dept nonsense and are flocking to listen to the Jon McComb morning show on CKNW.

Tune off the CBC News Department

How can we fight corporate propaganda?

From article linked above:

"Indeed, some daily newspapers and TV/radio stations in Europe are actually owned by unions or co-ops, so people there are exposed to news and views from the left as well as the right -- which helps explain why most European countries have far surpassed us in social, economic, and environmental policies."

Interesting blog post.   The CBC's coverage of the NDP has always been condescending at best, it is infuriating.   And with regards to left wing / union owned / co-op media, in the US especially, and to a large extent in Canada, much of the labour owned media was eliminated in the 1950-1960's as big media consolidated.   Now it seems there is more possibility for direct media ownership by labour or the working class, with the internet solving the challenge of distribution.   Many dangers ahead still  for independent media, with Net Neutrality under attack and almost gone, and the new "fake news" algorithms being tested by Google and Facebook.

It's going to take more than new anchors to fix the drifting CBC
