Mr. Harper goes to Washington
gadar

Harper spreading xenophobia worldwide while he has his minions working hard in here Canada. He is the leader of IDU which has member political parites which are religion based. The IDU and this slimeball are also a propaganda arm of the human rights abuser regime of Israel. IDU sounds more like wannabe IDF.

Not so sure that Harper will be coming back as leader of the conservatives? Possibly an conservative MP.

His latest moves will surely strengthen the conservatives vote in Canada by 5% could swing voters to sending the conservatives to forming a majority government in Canada.

voice of the damned

Our former prime minister is on the move and something is a afoot. Is he making a political comeback? As he goes to Washington he has snubbed the present government.  Even as a private citizen he has access to people there in very high places. Though he is not a Republican, he is a kindred spirit and one of their boys. During his tenure he served the Empire well.

Harper will be meeting with John Bolton, Trump’s nefarious and Machiavellian National Security Advisor. Most certainly Canada’s future is on their agenda-I would give anything to be a fly on the wall.

************************

Trump’s presidency is a game changer and paves the way for a Harper comeback.  Harper has predicted Trump’s “America First”  authoritarian populism is going to persist long after he is gone. What better time for Harper to come forth and claim to be the messiah who can deal with Trumpism with his mano-a-mano disposition.

So first, we're told that Harper is going to DC to confer with his imperial puppet masters. Then, we're told that Harper is going to come back to Canada and relaunch his career by fighting against those same imperial puppet masters.

^ Actually, the plot to The Manchurian Candidate was along those lines: the diabolically clever Communists conspired to make a rabid anti-Communist POTUS. Though I've always assumed that was because Hollywood didn't want to portray anti-Communists as evil in their own right, they had to be part of a Soviet conspiracy.

And with him went John Baird as well. Baird is also on Premier Doug the Slug's 'transition team'.

This is getting ugly. The resurrection of Harper and Baird is frightening.

Like a bad case of herpes, just when you thought it was gone it's back again.

You're not PM anymore Harpo. What are you up to? My guess is not up to any good.

But this will not really help the Conservatives to shoot up in the polls, possibly the opposite because there are people out there scratching their heads and not very impressed with this meeting. He's definitely undermining the government and if he's giving points to the US about how to use this trade war as a way of killing any progress we've made and are aboout to make,he should be arrested the second he touches ground back in Canada. But this will just strengthen the base.

And Harper coming back as Conservative leader? How stupid can Canadians be to re-elect this pisss jug? We all know what's under the hood. No thanks.

NDPP

As well as the Trump  administration and the CIA, the MEK terror-group has been funded and trained by Israel, and has wide bipartisan support - so the presence of Harper and Baird now backing them as well, should come as no surprise. Zionist Israel, once again, is the elephant in the room here. One which Canadians seem unable to acknowledge or confront.

I think progressives have more pressing issues to worry about than the potential return of Stephen Harper to public life.

The federal Conservative Party will almost certainly return to power one day. And it will in all likelihood be Harperite in its orientation, regardless of whether or not the man himself is actually running it.

Talked to both Trudeau and Harper in person. Harper seemed like a polite, smart business man. Trudeau seemed like a 40 year old trying to be cool at a party full of 20 year olds.  Trudeau seems really shallow and like he's costantly reading from a script. Talking to Harper felt like talking to a busy professor who made an effort to stop and make a genuine attempt to talk to you, ask you about yourself and try to relate to you. Trudeau was all about his script.

Shows how decieving impressions can be. Harper thinks God runs the world.

I dunno, but however he conceptualizes it, I agree with him. All things come from God, as the 70s CanCon hit had it.

Now, whether any one person's interpretation of what God wants should influence government policy is another question. I'd say no on that one.

A politician can't be judged from such a short meeting. Harper said "God bless" at the end of his first speech as PM. I was offended. Trudeau has multiple degrees and actually did work for a living though not much. Harper never worked as an economist. Seems like in your meetings Trudeau was more real than Harper but Harper was the better actor or played a better part.

Harper publicly wrote we should capitulate to whatever Trump wants on NAFTA. Harper would be delighted to see Canada become a northern state of the US. He has nothing but distain for Canada. He is a free market social conservative. The worst of both worlds. He would have shut medicare down if he had his choice. He  feels no responsibility to veterans he sends off to war not that Trudeau is better.

And yet you've been an ardent defender of Trudeau jr.

Trudeau's father was a devout Roman Catholic and his mother converted from Anglicanism to Catholicism just prior to their wedding. As a child, he attended Mass each Sunday and said his prayers each night before bedtime. He became a lapsed Catholic at age 18, as he felt that much of his day-to-day life was not addressed by the formality and structure of the church.Trudeau described his faith during this period as "like so many Catholics across this country, I said, 'OK, I'm Catholic, I'm of faith, but I'm just not really going to go to church. Maybe on Easter, maybe midnight Mass at Christmas.'" After the death of his brother Michel in 1998, Trudeau was persuaded by a friend to participate in an Alpha course, during which he regained his faith. In 2011, Trudeau stated, "My own personal faith is an extremely important part of who I am and the values that I try to lead with."

Trudeau has a bachlor of arts in english and a bachlor in education, and quit after 2 years of an engineering degree. Harper has a both a bachlors and masters degree in economics.  You're right Harper didn't get a job in economics but that's because he got involved in politics and a job (executive assistant to Calgary’s Progressive Conservative MP Jim Hawkes). Sorry Pondering but it seems like you have some really weak arguments here. Based more on "I just don't like him". But opinions are opinions of course.

Go meet them both, talk with them and see if you pick up a different feeling from them.

On the academic front (if that matters to you), neither Trudeau Jr. or Harper have any great credentials. But I have no idea why we are debating this when it is actually quite offensive that Harper thinks he can be a self-appointed diplomat.

NDPP

In fact, borderline treasonous.

cco

Perhaps Harper was feeling out an offer from Trump to be returned to power as interim governor of the United States Northern Resource Area Military Protectorate.

NDPP

Nothing new about US presidents regime-changing leaders more to their liking either. Although I would hate to suggest that tweedle-dumb Trudeau would stand on guard for thee any more than tweedle-dee helmet-head Harper.

i seriously doubt that. After all the corporations own Canada. You really believe the corporations are pissed off?

the corporations are probably getting worried that Justin really is a flake air head way in over his head and out of desperation reached out to Harper to try to salvage something before the drama queen Justin screws up more.

Unless I'm getting a creep vibe and even then I don't think it's possible to sum someone up that quickly. Politicians in particular present a cultivated image. I'm more interested in what they do. I did not support Trudeau in a vacuum. He was best of 3 not "my choice" so to speak. If Corbyn, Sanders or even Layton had been available it would have changed my calculation. You can say I'm a big supporter of Singh right now but if someone better comes along I'll switch.

I care about job performance. Trudeau required all MPs to be pro-choice. Harper cut off funding to women's health organizations internationally who provide abortions as one of the services. The only reason Harper refused any discussion in Canada is because he knew it would be political suicide and he probably doesn't care all that much personally.

Politicians can hold whatever religious beliefs they want personally as long as they don't attempt to impose them on others.

gadar

Harper is just acting on instructions from his Zionist overlords. Addressing rallies hosted by "cult" and former terrorist group. Using inflammatory language and doesnt fail to mention the time he was Prime Minister and how he always stood on guard for the state of Israel.

Awe shit. Doing your old appeal to the masses trick again eh? I missed that a little ;) So what do I seem like? A conservative? Harper-lover, stoooooorm troopoer, spy, a military arts and science student with intertions of a graduate degree in a terrorisim and security field?  Don't leave me hanging, ambiguity is the enemy of accountability they say.

And my collection is going pretty good thank you for asking.

You know who isn't very gun friendly? Mr Harper. He could have really fixed the broken gun laws in Canada but he didn't. The only time he acted concerned was when he realized he was at risk of losing the election but by that time it was too late and a lot of traditional conservative gun owners gave them the big fuck you. Just like he did with vets. We just made small talk though, didn't seem like a good place to bring it up. You know?

I actually am not suprised that a comparison one-on-one could favour Harper in conversation. Harper is confident in his element and Trudeau has always been a little awkward.

I would hope voters would learn to go for substance of superficial and reject both of them.

Harper is openly hostile to the interests of most Canadians while Trudeau is happy to indulge them with nice words but probably could not care less. That makes Trudeau a little less dangerous. Neither are actually beneficial.

I would not vote for either but if I had to endure a lunch with one, I would prefer Trudeau of Harper if in part becuase I would get arrested for dumping my soup on Harper.

I see your point. On a more serious note, Trudeau would be the person you'd want to know to help you learn the perfect downward dog yoga pose from while Harper would be the person you'd want to know to help you figure out which cat litter to use for your clowder of cats.

Well today's news about his changes to school curriculum has me very worried. Meaningful sex-education is off the table as is integrating the recommendations of the Truth and Rconcilliation Council on inclusiive Indigenous history. Not a good sign for Indigenous relations in general.
