radiorahim just told me, "David Miller's making an "important announcement" tomorrow." My first response: "Oh wow, maybe he's running!" My second, immediate follow up: "Oh god, I hope he's okay."
So yeah, Unionist's post resonates with me right now.

this was a stupid media grab. he announced that the budget cycle will be a 2 year budget for the city rather than a yearly city budget.

Joe Pantalone was at the event in his capacity as Deputy Mayor. So, while not an endorsement, it certainly doesn't help his profile.
I have to laugh at the protests of Smitherman and Rossi. I guess good news for the city is bad news for them.
while their are some cons who are pissed their are also some of us on the left who feel used by this ... this idea may have merit but you know what it should have been on the council agenda to be debated and introduced via council. shit he has the votes to shut up the cons at concil anyways.
