How elusive justice is,  twenty five years and doubtful that he will ever stand trial.

Not going to say a word about this, as we Canadians are more complicit in crimes against India's peoples, than this fellow is.

Quote:

More than 555,000 people who survived the initial disaster are thought to have suffered aftereffects, though the exact number of victims has never been determined. Many have died over the years from gas-related illnesses, like lung cancer, kidney failure and liver disease. On Friday, in response to a recent appeal by a victims' group, Bhopal's chief judicial magistrate Prakash Mohan Tiwari ordered the arrest of Anderson, who is reportedly living in the U.S. Tiwari also ordered the Indian government to press the U.S. for Anderson's extradition.

10, 000 dead and another half a million sick. That's a crime against humanity. Victims would have received a heckuva lot more money if they'd have been banksters going with caps in hand to the feds and demanding taxpayer handouts to compensate them for their own mistakes dealing in "the free market"

I thought Anderson was dead.

According to Wiki, he's living a life of leisure on Long Island, NY and is 88.

Here's an opinion column from Tehelka (used to like it when their banner said "News. Views. All the Juice")  which gives this story a bit more background, both in terms of history and current affairs.  It was published yesterday, which is still today here right now.
