Argentina Supreme Court rules abortion not illegal for rape victims

The Supreme Court in Argentina has ruled that women who have an abortion after being raped will no longer be prosecuted.

The Supreme Court also ruled that in future, women would not have to seek judicial permission to get an abortion if they had been raped.

The judges said a sworn statement given to the doctor would suffice.

This is somewhat a progressive move *sigh* and at least a woman can just simply give a sworn statement that she was raped to get one now.

Helpful given how bad the illegal abortion clinics can be.

Unhelpful since the government should just step out of regulating these things
