Here is a great video of the PM skewering the leader of the Opposition for his attempt to have parliament censure a government MP for their sexist comments.  This is one of the best anti sexism speeches I have every heard directed personally at an misogynist right wing politician.

Quote:

The extraordinary trading of barbs left viewers in public galleries appearing stunned and Mr Abbott sitting silently as Ms Gillard unleashed her tirade.

"If he wants to know what misogyny looks like in modern Australia he doesn't need a motion in the house of Representatives, he needs a mirror," she thundered.

Pooping Gillard's Party

Quote:
Gillard’s eloquence on the subject of misogyny was not the most important feminist issue in federal parliament yesterday.

Quote:
The passage of the legislation to move 100 000 single parents  (the overwhelming majority of them women although an increasing proportion are men) onto Newstart is a far more fundamental event than the display of Prime Ministerial eloquence. This measure is not about encouraging women to build a better future for themselves and their offspring. It’s about further entrenching the Howard-era marginalisation of single mothers.

Well she is social democrat after all.  The program reminds me of the BC Benefit program introduced by Clark and made even nastier by Campbell.

I think you have to take your victories where you find them.  I don't agree with Gillard's politics, but good on her for pinning her opposition leader on his hypocrisy.  That in itself is a win.
