Join the Shelter, Sanctuary, Status Campaign!
We are organizing to stop immigration enforcement from going into shelters to arrest women fleeing violence. We demand the police implement a ‘don't ask, don't tell' policy so that women fleeing violence are not turned over to immigration enforcement. We are also working towards access to services and the provision of full legal immigration status for all women and their families fleeing diverse forms of violence. We also recognize the violence of deportation and detention, and demand the elimination of these forms of state violence.
Our next meeting is March 24th at 10 am.

that's even more disgusting than the rest of the behaviour of the Kenney/Harper/Ignatieff-coalition attack dogs.
Well, we can't blame this on Jason K. since this has been going on for a number of years, including under recently deceased Liberal governments.
It is disgusting though.
Horrendous. Thanks for the info, Maysie. I can't make it to the meeting, but it sure is disgusting that this kind of persecution happens to women fleeing violence.
