Assange Extradition
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange should be extradited to Sweden to face sexual assault allegations, a judge has ruled.
Mr Assange will appeal at the High Court against the ruling, delivered at Belmarsh Magistrates' Court in London, following a hearing two weeks ago.
The 39-year-old denies three allegations of sexual assault and one of rape last August in Stockholm.
Mr Assange says the claims are politically motivated because of the work of his whistle-blowing website.

Assange Blames 'Railroading' As Judge Grants Extradition

the revelations of US officials' interest in this verdict, as related by JA on the second extradition vid here, has distinctly sinister implications - the US wolves with their "Espionage"extradition agenda are watching the game, if not already steering it towards a predictable conclusion. Also the MSM have significantly dialed down Wikileaks stories for some time now I notice. No doubt they will all rush back should the show actually reach the sex in Sweden phase of the pursuit.
These are the people we are dealing with, opening they show their anti democratic anti human rights tendencies.
In most of my posts I talk about the working class struggle for freedom. I talk abut the bourgeoisie and I talk about how Social Democracy will not work.
Mostly I get flack for it, but this is the truth right here, you can not negotiate with them, you can not seek reforms on their system. There is only one true answer to this, you have to completely replace their system. From the Government selection process to the economic system. Every single thing must be torn down and rebuilt.
The bourgeosie legal system is not about justice. It's about maintaining their class structure.
I have some legal problems, I told my lawer I wantedto tellthe truth, He just turned to me and said this is the justice system, it's not about truth.
From an interview yesterday with Assange:

I don't know anymore. I guess he's trying to say there is no chance he can be a whistle-blowing website owning hero AND a sexual predator scumbag at the same time. Believe him if you want, but not everything is politics and evil plots; people do run amuck on their own accord.
That is a totally nonsense dichotomy. Your reductionist hyperboli of "hero" and "scumbag" aside, and without going into the case in detail, positive public and negative personal activities are obviously not mutually exclusive.
Obviously, too, even positve and negative public activities can be seen on there own merits. Witness, for example, Churchill the imperialist, willing to use poison gas on the "less civilized tribes" in Iraq and his roll as a rallying figure against fascist Germany.
Hey Bec, you got proof on those allegations? Our is it just your mouth running amok?
Frankly this posters is one of the problems the working class runs into time and time again. Someone has information that threatens the bourgeois class structure. The bourgeoisie then use their power, going around spreading rhetorical this and that to subvert the threat. It works because there is always someone involved with identity politics. This people turn into the dupes that end up sabotaging their own cause.
Divide and conquer, that's how they stay in power.
Until there is a trial, or in this case, what precedes a trial, a criminal charge, the man is innocent. It's the most basic under pinning of a fair legal system.
But according to the poster Bec, innocent until proven guilty can be thrown out the window, when ever their special cause is involved.

In the Assange Case We Are All Suspects Now - by John Pilger

"This month's Supreme Court hearing in the Julian Assange case has profound meaning for the preservation of basic freedom in western democracies. This is Assange's final appeal against his extradition to Sweden to face allegations of sexual misconduct that were originally dismissed by the chief prosecutor in Stockholm and constitute no crime in Britain.
The consequences, if he loses, lie not in Sweden but in the shadows cast by America's descent into totalitarianism..."
WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange Awaits Court Decision on Extradition - by Robert Stevens
http://www.wsws.org/articles/2012/feb2012/assa-f04.shtml
"The UK Supreme Court concluded a two-day hearing Thursday of an appeal by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, challenging his extradition to Sweden on unsubstantiated and contested allegations of sexual assault made in 2010. The appeal was heard by seven justices, who, after legal submissions from the defence and prosecution, said they would reserve judgement for several weeks.
Were the Supreme Court to reject Assange's appeal, he could be extradicted to Sweden within days. From there he could face possible extradition and prosecution on terrorism charges in the US, with which Sweden has a 'temporary surrender' agreement."

"The US prepared a secret 'sealed indictment' on Julian Assange over a year ago. That comes from a recent Stratfor email leak published on a drip-drip basis by WikiLeaks. Stratfor's vice president for intelligence, Fred Burton, ended the speculation on whether the US could hook the WikiLeaks founder by saying:
'We have a sealed indictement on Assange', also calling for the sensitive information to be 'protected.'.."

Assange Loses Extradition Court Battle, 14 Days to Apply to Reopen Case (and vid)

"WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has lost his marathon court battle in UK Supreme Court. The judge has granted him 14 days to make an application to reopen the extradition case. Assange says the [sex crime] allegations are baseless and are founded on political motivations after his website released thousands of diplomatic cables and documents sparking outcry from world governments.
There are fears that Assange will eventually be transferred to the US, where he would join Private Bradley Manning, who is currently facing court-martial for handing over classified documents in the whistleblower's website.

"The decision to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has caused outcry with critics saying it is based on dubious legal credentials.."
The politically compliant Supreme Court of the UK made the unusual 5 to 2 decision to extradite Assange (against whom there are still no charges laid) to Sweden, by interpreting the Swedish prosecutor's request for extradition as being made by a "judicial authority".
David Hart QC in the UK Human rights blog summarizes the majority and minority decisions:
http://ukhumanrightsblog.com/2012/05/31/assange-does-it-matter-if-minist...
This legal charade will no doubt allow US-guided Sweden to extradite Assange to a US hell-hole, since secret extradition papers have already been revealed to be drawn up. It is almost irrelevant whether or not Swedish charges will actually be laid against Assange.

"It is likely that the WikiLeaks founder will be handed over to the US where he will be tried for espionage, given 'the unusualness of the extradition with no charges in place,' David Swanson, an author and activist told RT. He said that in response to the thousands of classified documents leaked by the whistleblower, the US government has issued a secret closed indictment and pressured other governments in Britain and in Sweden to ship Julian Assange to the US. Swanson added that Assange could face conditions amounting to torture or even murder, the very crimes that he exposed.."
