# more drug advisors have resigned in support of the prof.

Prof Nutt was sacked after calling cannabis less harmful than alcohol and nicotine, and saying it was upgraded to Class B for political reasons.

I have never taken cannabis in my life but I am in agreement with the prof.

It must be possible to go into the medical records and check which causes the most damage.

There's a stack of reports THIS HIGH demonstrating the truth of the first statement.  In Canada, start with LeDain.

I haven't smoked dope in 40 years, and even I know this is bullshit.

Unfortunately, scientific truth isn't much of a defence to the charge of being politically incorrect.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/8355898.stm I made an error in the original post about the number who resigned.

But it is not clear from the bbc news reports how many resigned. It could mean 5 or it could mean 8

And the minister has backed down to some extent.  Whether it is 5 or 8 resignations, it is an impressive, "go screw yourself" message to the minister.

They are pist off because the government had made decisions on this and other issues and had written up the press releases  before even getting their reports.

Well done to the british scientists on this one.
