Obama regime's proposed Ambassador to Venezuela ... "cannot enter the country".

The US Nominee Ambassador to Venezeula, Larry Palmer, is not welcome in Venezuela. Seems that the proposed Ambassador blathered on, in a very UNdiplomatic way, with crude insults about Venezuelan institutions.

Quote:
In a written letter to the U.S. Senate - later made public - Palmer first suggested that the Venezuelan Armed Forces had "morale and equipment problems", saying the U.S. government could take advantage of such difficulties, and accused officials within the Chavez administration of having "clear" links to Colombian insurgent groups deemed "terrorists" by the U.S. State Department. Palmer also committed himself to "safeguard American economic interests and investments," if chosen to be ambassador.

The Venezuelan President had this to say on the matter: "Buy Mr. Palmer a coffee on me, and then 'bye-bye.' He cannot enter this country," affirmed Chávez.

Of course the Yanqui imperialists, brimming with their usual repulsive hubris, are making the usual sorts of threats and what-have-you.

Other US "diplomatic" personnel have been expelled from, e.g., Bolivia, after supporting opposition violence in that country.

Yup. There sure is a HUGE difference between the "nasty" Republican regime of Bush and the current Democratic regime of Obama. uh huh. One engages in all sorts of provocations, acts of war, and support for violence. The other is just the opposite by supporting violence, acts of war, and all sorts of provocations.

Get lost, Uncle Sam

The story of American "influence" in South America is a long and sordid tale. Ambassador Palmer's remarks show that America is still not ready to honor the will of the people in Venezuela or anywhere in South America as long as that will is to have a socialist government.

The focus of America's activities for the past few decades in South America has been to fight socialism. A total betrayal of "democratic principles" by America, as written into the American Constitution, is evident in that a majority of the people of South America want socialism. No matter, America will fight it.

Hypocracy, or maybe call it outright evil, on the part of America is also evident in the South American drama. The stated goals of America's "War on Drugs" seems to be completely forgotten as the CIA grabs the opportunity to fund the South American socialist fighting militias with money from illegal drug trafficing. Such funding cannot come from Congress because of the illegal nature of those militias, so the CIA helps the S.A. militias set up areas to grow coca and poppy crops, they get the most talented chemists to work at the drug refining labs, and they provide cover for the transporation of the finished product to get to the USA. The money covers weapons, salaries, and bribes needed to keep those socialist-fighting militias operating.

And operate, they do!! Brutally dealing out death to socialst advocates, using torture, and even distributing the children of doomed mothers to military families so they don't grow up to be socialists is all part of the S.A. militia's activities. None of that dissuades America from supporting those militias.

So hurray for Chavez for standing up to America. His example has encouraged other S.A. nations to continue to fight for their people's desire for socialism.

Ambassador Palmer seemed to be unwilling to play the game of Ambassador at all. It is like he didn't want the job.

I don't know the circumstances surrounding the release of Palmer's letter to the US Senate but I would expect that HE would be expected to support the kinds of views that he did in that letter. These things are probably just more secret.Tough shit for Palmer and the Obama regime.

Whoever the US picks as an Ambassador, you can be sure that from the Venezuelan point of view, he or she is no better than a terrorist.
