babble is rabble.ca's discussion board but it's much more than that: it's an online community for folks who just won't shut up. It's a place to tell each other — and the world — what's up with our work and campaigns.

Whaaaaaaa??

Stephen Harper pushes G8 to help world's poorest women and kids?? [Canada is the chair of the G8 now]

Is he trying to appeal to the left now or something? Does helping women and children make up for aiding and abetting torture?

Furthermore, Harper also mentioned that "climate change will hit those the hardest who can least likely cope with it", referring again to third world poverty, and also, more or less, saying that climate change is real.

All in all, it is just a bit much to swallow. All this "enlightenment" and "socialism" on the world stage is quite a change for him. What is he up to? Is there an opportunity for some corporations to make money from helping out the third world?
