Wow, after reading through some of these post and comments in regards to new-comers, I feel like I'm about to venture out on to an ice flow and be bombarded with small hot rocks, slowly eating away at my island. You folks seem to me merciless or am I missing the sarcasm? Anyway, I ain't going away and hopefully can contribute a few of my thoughts (however far out they may be) and find out where you all stand and / or think
Welcome. I suggest that you read this first:

Not sure what happened to my first comment above. Sorry about that. Obviously only the bottom part was to be listed. Oh well,….
Hi Organic Cowboy, and welcome to babble. I tried to edit out most of the weird computer language, of your OP, but one line remains, as well as another line in post #2. I'll see what I can do. If you're doing something other than just typing text into the text box, that might be the cause. If you're worried about losing text as you're composing, hit "preview". Your post won't go public yet, and there will be no strange computer language. I think. If other babblers have other suggestions, please let me know. I've seen this happen a few times before and it's a bit bizarro.
As for the Klingon Pain Stick initiation rite of newbies to babble (
), hey, tell us about yourself, Organic Cowboy. We enjoy meeting new babbler friends, and we do welcome newcomers, but sadly over the years many of us have developed high levels of mistrust of people who venture in here to, let's just say, choose to not contribute from a "good faith" place.
