Our veterans fought for freedom and democracy, not for a Police State where the police routinely conduct violent home invasions
Our veterans fought for freedom and democracy, not for a Police State where the police routinely conduct violent home invasions in full violation of all Human and Democratic Rights protected by the Canadian Constitution, the Bill Of Rights, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Criminal Code of Canada. No Court order,
No Arrest Warrant - Wrongful Violent Home Invasion, Assault, And Detention by The Barrie City Police After the G-20:What has happened to Freedom, Democracy and Justice in Canada?
The erosion of Civil Liberties in Canada is a reality none of us can afford to ignore.
Our veterans fought for freedom and democracy, not for a Police State where the police routinely conduct violent home invasions, thereby violating the Civil, Human and Democratic Rights which are protected by the Canadian Constitution, the Bill Of Rights, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Criminal Code of Canada.
Veterans deserve to receive their veteran's pension for their entire lives, not just until the age of 65.I have been advocating for equal rights for all Canadians against the brutality and corruption of the Canada Revenue Agency and the Banks.
At the same time, I have been informing people of the continued erosion of Civil Liberties, Human and Democratic Rights and Freedoms in Canada. They tried to shut down my voice by the most brutal of tactics: The RBC via Home Alone Property Management Services Limited induced the Barrie City Police to break into my home and attack and arrest me for being in my own home - my principal residence, for which my name is on the deed.
The Plaintiff in the Lawsuit filed in Superior Court of Justice Against the defendants: Barrie Police Services Board, the Attorney General of Canada, Home Alone Property Management Services Limited and the Royal Bank of Canada, seeks to affirm that Canada is a Democracy, in fact as well as name.
Therefore, no Government Agency or Corporation has a right to trample these fundamental Human and Democratic Rights that are entrenched in Canada's Constitution.
In the name of Justice and Freedom, the Plaintiff makes this claim on her own behalf in order to preserve and affirm the fundamental Civil Rights of all Canadian citizens, residents and visitors in Canada who need to have their rights protected and maintained so that their homes are not wrongfully invaded and that they are not unlawfully and without good cause arrested, detained, imprisoned, and/or held by police without just cause, probable cause or lawful excuse.

Clayton Ruby: Is there is a right to protest?
"...the police can violate your rights with impunity"."...they like it that way.

Hi CTFB, Welcome to babble. I've moved your thread to the "national news" forum.
Welcome to Babble-- I appreciate much of your post.
I would like to address a small thing though-- the ownership of the house here does not give you more rights (you mentionned deed). Everyone regardless of ownership of property have the same rights to personal security of the person and privacy and not being invaded in their home-- even as tenants.
thanks for bringing this case to attention here!
Good post Sean.
Thanks Cue.
I was considering adding the next part and hesitated but I think I should.
I also object to the rationale for Taxpayer rights and identification with being a taxpayer. There is so much of that these days and it represents a cultural shift that happened in the 1980s at the time of Reaganomics.
Once we pay the money -- it is public money that belongs to our national collective. The idea that taxpayers have rights as taxpayers is at the top of a slippery slope where we recognize that a taxpayer contributing more money should have more say or more rights than a lower income taxpayer paying less.
I like the idea that we have rights as residents-- those who live here. As human beings. We all have a right and an interest in that public money being spent wisely and fairly no matter how much we have each been able to contribute in dollar terms.
Over a number of years we watched the rhetoric go from "citizen's rights" to "taxpayer" rights. I really wish we could identify it as "Canadian resident's" rights (those who have not recieved their citizenship yet are still part of our society as permanent residents). This is why I'd prefer we called them "resident's rights."
I would also support Permanent Residents having the vote and if they did we could say voter's rights...
Bill Blair has been doing this to elderly war vets, with warrantless searches for illegal and unregistered guns, and 'unsafe storage' of guns, but nobody here seemed to give a crap:
http://www.cdnshootingsports.org/2007/11/CFO_Inspection_ALERT.html
The 'we all hang separately' line applies here. Some people don't like guns, and others didn't like the anti-G20 protests, but citizens better smarten up, fight for each other's rights and realize that the state and its organs, like the police, want a monopoly on power and no dissent.
something like that. Exactly.
Certainly, everyone who is being searched is having their home invaded and their security and privacy violated by the police. It is clear that the police of different jurisdictions think they are above the law and can do as they please.
The law presumes all searches and seizures to be a breach of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, in Section 8 which says: "Everyone has the right to be secure against unreasonable search or seizure."
If we make our priority what you suggested and "fight for each other's rights" then that will be our common ground that unites us against all occurrences when "the state and its organs, like the police, want a monopoly on power and no dissent."
Whatever "goal" the police are trying to achieve has to be done with respect to upholding and protecting everyone's rights and freedoms.
Actions do speak louder than words. It is increasingly clear that police are exhibiting a pattern of ignoring our rights and freedoms because "they like it that way" as Clayton Ruby said.
The police appear to be improvising and making up the rules as they go along and then looking for a way to justify the violation of an individual's rights and freedoms.
This is totally unacceptable and an obvious sign of a totalitarian state or Police State. Many people choose not to acknowledge what is happening at the present time for their own reasons.
Some of them will not admit that police are violating civil and human rights until it happens to themselves or someone who is close to them. We all need to promote the importance of exercising our power to vote to try to defeat the complacency of others.
