Why should the first post be blank again?
So, what are the odds a dozen Cons are asleep at the wheel during a midnight budget vote, triggering an election? :)
The Speaker threw out E. May's argument that the Budget bill be ruled out of order. And, the Opposition motions are being grouped together and will be voted on as a block, so that effectively shuts down the time it will take for the Budget to pass. It could be a done deal very soon.
ETA: Nycol Turmel just said the 1,000 admendments have been reduced to 159 votes, beginning Wednesday night the NDP will debate these around the clock. CBC estimates it will take 10 - 23 hours to get through all the admendments, much shorter than the 72 - 84 hours originally estimated last week.
On Wednesday, June 13th at 5:30PM local time, while our MPs gather in Ottawa for a decisive showdown in Parliament, LeadNow will be holding rallies in their home ridings, and communities across Canada, to call for 13 "hero" Conservative MPs to work together and stop the Bill, split it, and start over.

Cons are just sitting there reading their papers, casually voting no to every amendment. Sad.
