A remarkable photo has been published on Infowars.com (a right-libertarian/hyper-conspiratorial website expressing opinions with which I often disagree) of the "anarchist" who torched the police car.

Lo and behold, he is wearing track pants bearing a clearly visible Nike logo:

This is indicative of one of two things.   Either the "anarchist" in question doesn't know anything about anarchism, or he was an agent provocateur working in the employ of the RCMP, CSIS or some private security firm to provoke violence and chaos at the G20 protests.  This, in turn, was used to justify the massive security budget, the brutalization of protesters, and the avoidance of the real issues.

Considering that the police cars were emptied of gas and abandoned in the middle of the street, I'm going with option 2.

Some of you may recall the incident at the SPP protest in which the provocateurs -- also dressed as "black bloc anarchists" -- were caught because they were wearing identical boots to those of the police.

Once again, the choice of clothing has proven the deception.   We should all thank the unnamed child working in the unknown, god-forsaken sweat shop owned by Nike for stiching that logo.
