Galloway and the JDL

I'm new to the forum.

I found rabble via a link on a story about George Galloway's banning from Canada.

I've known about Galloway for years but was not made aware of the JDL until the debate posted on youtube, which I'm sure you've all seen at this point.

Apparently the JDL is listed by the FBI as a "violent Jewish extremist organization" and has committed dozens of bombings and assassinations in the United States.  It's last konwn terrorist attack was only a few years ago.

The FBI explains:

On December 11, 2001, Irving David Rubin and Earl Leslie Krugel were arrested by the Los Angeles Joint Terrorism Task Force for conspiring to build and place improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at the King Fahd Mosque in Culver City, California, and the local office of Congressman Darrell Issa. Rubin and Krugel were subsequently charged with conspiracy to destroy a building by means of an explosive, as well as possession of a destructive device during and in relation to a crime of violence. Rubin and Krugel were active members of the Jewish Defense League (JDL), a violent extremist Jewish organization. Statements by Rubin and Krugel indicated that they had planned the attack against the mosque to demonstrate the militancy of the JDL. Krugel further indicated that the attack was planned to provide a “wake up call” to the Muslim community. It was determined that Rubin and Krugel had already acquired the necessary components to build an IED, including pipes, fuses, and smokeless powder."

The group has since re-emerged and now claims to embrace non-violence, yet its Canadian head, Weinstein, states in a 2008 interview with the Jewish Press that he “will always be a loyal disciple of Rabbi Kahane. Our ideology is based on the Jewish Idea as taught by Rabbi Kahane.”

For those unawares, Kahane was a Zionist extremist who openly advocated ethnic cleansing of Arabs. So, apparently, does Weinstein.

According to a poster at Red Tory:

Hm, if you look at the Weinstein’s list of facebook groups http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/groups.php?id=662165374 it appears he *still* belongs to the group מוות לערבים which is Hebrew for “Death to the Arabs”.

So apparently a man who belongs to a group that openly advocates genocide is not only allowed to run wild in Canada but is influencing Canada's domestic and foreign policy at the highest levels. Don't suppose that's much different form any other right-wing lobby group, but the brazenness of the JDL and the power of the Israeli lobby both in Canada and the United States makes this case particularly distressing.

I wonder if anyone has tried contacting the RCMP or CSIS regarding the JDL's threats against peace groups in Canada. Or would that just get your name on one of the government's watch lists?
