UWO Islamic Studies Chair Endowment Attacked by Right

Right-wing anti-Islam journalist Barbara Kay reports on a $2 million endowment to Huron College.

CBC Radio has carried the story for the past few days, interviewing pro-Israel Islamaphobe Rory Leishman, a freelance writer for the London Free Press - hardly an unbiased source. 

Huron College is affiliated with the University of Western Ontario, and the $2 million gift would support a Chair in Islamic Studies.

Any superficial attention paid to the story would have it that the gift is from the Islamic Brotherhood (which is not the case) and the specter of pro-jihad terrorist funding of academia is raising its ugly head.  So far, the college is standing by its gift, however it has been suggested that due dilligence was not performed and that because Huron College has a relatively small budget, that they're turning a blind eye to the funding sources.

I don't know where this story is going, but I'm pretty disgusted with its coverage thus far.
