Why Oppose the Omnibus Bill C10? Why Canadians Should be Concerned - Even if We Aren't All Terrorists

The Conservative government's Omnibus Bill C10 shall allow victims of terrorist acts to seek compensation in damages against those who directly or indirectly harbour, insure, give credit to, fund, finance and advise terrorists. But who will be suspected to be a terrorist and what will be the actual effect of the bill when it becomes law? In an era when our Prime Minister states that the greatest threat to the country is Islamist terrorism (notwithstanding that only 1 percent of terrorist acts were committed by people calling themselves Muslim) won't the actual effect of this bill be fear among Canadians that one may indirectly unknowingly harbour/finance/advise someone who may turn out to be a terrorist? And will it not leave all 697,000 Canadians who call themselves Muslim with radically far fewer options for themselves and their families when it comes to renting homes and vehicles, financing mortgages, obtaining student and business loans and obtaining legal advice? This is a dangerous bill and has the ability to turn our nation into an unrecognizable place.
