becareful what you put in your body.

BC just had 130 0verdoses in a day. Luckily no one died, probably because addicts think Naxalone is a get out of jail free card.

I've never tried drugs but if I did I think I'd want it to somehow be a little better regulated than from some dude on a corner.

quizzical

there are all types of edibles not just gummies. cakes like ding dongs, stawberry shortcake, ho ho's and all sorts of  chocolate bar types.

and stop with the stoner crap magoo. it's ignorant.

there are also just cbd edibles with no thc. pain relief only like the different oil extracts.

That's precisely why I agree with Quebec keeping the product public. The private sector cannot compete with it. The Quebec model will be cheap and high quality. Private businesses will always cut corners for maximum profit. The private sector sucks.

Alright.  Sorry that "Steve" will be selling you rope weed for another few months.  But I won't be interested in complaints after Oct. 17, so if the official stuff where you are is just as bad and a dollar more, keep it to yourself.

Much like, once Canada implemented universal government-provided health care, everyone who didn't prefer the American system had to shut up forever about flaws with the system. There are only two choices, you see, and if the change you favour doesn't fix everything as it's implemented, you were really better off under the old system.

Mr. Magoo Mr. Magoo's picture

What do we generally say to people who think that some parts of the "American system" are, in fact, better?

Anyway, moot point.  The Quebec model will be cheap and high quality.

Good. I hope you never talk about this after July 30.

Here's the by product,it's creating jobs as we speak.

You're not a fan of cannabis, get the hell off the subject. And don't fucking talk down to me. OK,Buckwheat?

And apparently you can't read. The SDCQ will be selling cannabis of FAR better quality than what you're going to find. In this city at least. Skunk #1 and OG Kush is quality cannabis. THC levels ranging from 15% to 22% is not something to complain about. And it's going to be much much cheaper than what you're going to get from your local dealer..unless you're buying bulk like a kilo or a pound. There'll be no complaining except for you when it becomes successful and it satisfies mostly every smoker. Noobody gives a fuck if you don't like it.

Your opinion and a quarter will buy you a half cup of water. That was a real asshole comment. And I'd apprteciate it if you would refrain from trying to engage in conversation or engage in  sarcasm with me. I'm tired of it.Leavre me alone. I'm sick of your contempt and I'm sick of your condescnding  arrogance. You're not  as clever as you think you are.

And as for your opinion? Keep it to yourself.

"You're disgusting,' Premier Doug Ford rails at Andrea Horwath, claiming NDP MPPs were 'imitating' the accent of the PC MPP Kaleed Rasheed. 'Make sure the Toronto Star writes about that,' says Ford. Horwath denies his charge."

Reprehensible if it happened and even more reprehensible an allegation if it didn't.

Rasheed's 'accent' is undetectable. Nothing to 'mimic'. Listen to him talk on CP24.

Pure horseshit from the Ford.

Rob Ford is an upright walking PIG. He oinks just as loud. And when is the opposition going to blast him for being a drug dealer and his drug addicted trailer park trash family?

That's like opening up a brand new Gap store with two t-shirts for sale.  Super business plan!  If Ford is the only politician who can see how monumentally stupid that is, more power to him.   Whose idea was ONE out of the way OCS to serve all of North America's fourth largest city??

Say whatever else you may about Doug Ford, but the man knows how to sell drugs.

I'll put my money on "it didn't". And the government is refusing to answer questions from the Offical Opposition. And they're just getting started.

One of the oldest dirty tricks in the political tool kit is to get in front of your own issues by accusing your opponents of your own worst behaviours.

One of Doug Ford’s closest allies boasts the Ontario Premier’s move to slash half the seats at Toronto City Hall will cripple Ford’s political opposition.

Speaking at a press conference at Queen’s Park on Monday, Toronto Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti said Ford’s gutting Toronto City Council is a good move because it would silence “left-leaning” voices on council.

“There is going to be less left-leaning politicians in the City of Toronto,” Mammoliti told reporters.

“That means it’s a great thing.”

"There is going to be less" ==> Should be: "There are going to be fewer".
Did this guy take grade school English?
The other flaw seems to be that as councillors are going to be reduced across the GTA, won't there be half as many of all political stripes?
Moron strikes again.

I'd be careful about throwing stones on grammatical issues here. The less/fewer confusion quite likely crosses ideological boundaries. I'm not entirely sure that I knew the exact rule, prior to becoming an ESL teacher.

quizzical

i agree VoD. no clue as to grammer and i'm not too great myself but i got some pet peeves over loose easy word use.

i can't believe how many people my age 30's down to the 20's use "are" instead of "our" in speech and written. like " let's go to are house". then to top things off they argue with you when you correct them and get all twisted hurt like they've been betrayed and someone changed it to "our" behind their back.

After his first month in office, premier Doug Ford has launched a new social media account to promote his political agenda.

Titled ‘Ontario News Now,’ the Twitter account only follows Ford, and is described as “timely exclusive content on the PC government’s priorities for the people of Ontario.”

the Ford government confirmed that production of the content is being paid for with tax dollars.

Social Assistance Cuts Likely To Get Worse

OCAP: Response To Ford Government's Changes To Social Assistance

http://ocap.ca/response-social-assistance-changes/

"Clearly, this is war on the poor component of the Doug Ford agenda of neoliberal austerity. The Tories are forging a punishing regime of social abandonment that creates misery and utter desperation. It is the cutting edge of their attack and a compelling reason why we must unite and build a movement to defeat this Government and all it stands for."

The time has come for the Ontario edition of Who Wants to Expropriate a Billionaire!

In the coming weeks, the Province's top eight billionaires will face off in a single-elimination tournament where *you* decide who should be the first to have their wealth expropriated* and put to work for the common good!

There's only one letter's difference between millionaire and billionaire, but it's actually hard for the human mind to comprehend how different they are. We'll try to help.

A million seconds ago was the week before last. A billion seconds ago it was 1987.

A million dollars will pay the median salary of 16 Ontario teachers for a year. A billion dollars will pay 166 teachers for 100 years.

Billionaires have superhuman powers to influence political decisions and shape the economy; their very existence undermines the basic assumptions of democracy.

A case *could* be made for multi-millionaires being useful for society; no such case can be made for billionaires. The simple solution is to abolish billionaires.

With Who Wants to Expropriate a Billionaire, we'll decide where to start!

There will not be lounges or bars of course. since smoking is illegal in such place. Were they be allowed to exist then we can again have cigars and cigarettes in businesses again

Interesting. Imperialism and white supremacy should be resisted, whether it comes with a bible, a gun or a free trade deal. Ford is a right wing bully so no surprise to see him preserve a Canadian master narrative that 'honours' a drunken, genocidal imperialist.
