Has Percy Hatfield actually been nominated in Windsor-Tecumseth? I didn't think they had had a meeting yet.

For the record, I'd be wondering who'd be running in Etobicoke North vs Shafiq Qaadri + Doug Ford.  (Well, it *is* NDP-winnable...)

No.  But I think he's the clear frontrunner.

There are 4 people running for the London West by-election nomination: http://ndplondonarea.ca/news/2013-03-31/four-candidates-vie-london-west-ndp-nomination  Jeff Buchanan, Mohamed Salih, Peggy Sattler, Jennifer White

Go Peggy!

New Democrats in Glengarry-Prescott-Russell have chosen Isabelle Sabourin as their candidate for the upcoming provincial election.

And people seeking NDP nominations in Ottawa Vanier, Ottawa Orleans, and Ottawa South are noted in that article.

New Democrats in London West have chosen Peggy Sattler as their candidate for the upcoming provincial election, in a four-way nomination contest.

With a local record of election as a school board trustee running in a riding with an OK but not spectacular record of NDP support, there are significant similarities with Catherine Fife's position at the start of the last provincial by-election.

There is one crucial difference: none of the area Peggy Sadler currently represents is actually within the boundaries of London West.

Peggy Sattler has been the Chair of the Board in London area and thus has a wider name recognition. Also the recent polls show something interesting (for what it's worth)

Meanwhile, when looking at voter intentions by region:

  • In Southwest Ontario, the PCs have 35 per cent support, to the NDP’s 34 per cent and the Liberals’ 25 per cent.
