The CBC is sticking to its guns.
In an email response to NOW for comment, CBC spokesperson Chris Ball writes: “We have multiple, credible, well-placed sources within TPS, including a dispatcher. We are reporting what was told to us. This is a developing story and we’re continuing to report on it as it unfolds.”
Instead of putting this baby to rest, Blair may have stirred a hornet’s nest. The chief has left the dangerous perception hanging in the air that political pressure may have been brought to bear here, even if it wasn’t. The chief’s spokesperson, Mark Pugash, did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
Blair has no choice now. He must release the tapes, or a transcript of the 911 calls, so the public can have confidence there was no undue interference.

Time to brush up on non-denial denials. Remember, what brings public figures down: "its not the crime, its the cover-up."

The transcript and the recording will clear things up. I was very dissapointed with the people who turned it into a joke on youtube. I think the thing WILL turn up on youtube sooner rather than later. And it WILL come out in wikileaks. The sooner the better. We need to hear if he intimidated the people on the 911 lines. That is something that only the tapes can show.
I mean Poor Rob has had his credibility totally shot. And the reporters who rushed to his aid in the national press have had their credibility totally shot. It is much better to get it out right now before it fades into the background in the mind of the public. The public memory is just a week long. It sure looks to me as though Ford is a HUGE liar. It wasn't dark. He got into his car, he got out again. Nothing stopped him from driving away except his own temper. The girl was inside all the house all the time. And this whole thing about not knowing who 22 minutes and Marge is, what type of dumb fucks does he think we are?
Of course he knew. Those tapes have to be heard. And I am sure they will.
