Gang Summit 2010 - Breaking the Cycle

John Sawdon, founder of Breaking the Cycle a youth gang exit and ambassador leadership program in Toronto, was one of the speakers at the 2010 Canada - US Gang Summit. Breaking the Cycle has worked with dozens of young gang-involved youth in some of Toronto's highest risk communities, including Rexdale and Scarborough.

So they want to 'break the cycle' of being in a gang? Here's a novel concept for them then: break the cycle of poverty first, then you will break the cycle of being in a gang. Until then, all is just a lot of talk, and not much else.
I don't see how breaking the cycle of poverty will undermine the UCC old boys network. Oh wait, different kind of gangs being talked about.
