Harper has his majority and now he is free to wreak havoc on Canadian families. As the chosen champion of corporate interests, he has demonstrated his government's willingness to sacrifice our towns and cities, our families, our children's futures, even the very health of the planet, as he kowtows to foreign interests and grovels before the alter of corporate greed.

Tory times are tough times. Tough times for Canadian families; hundreds of thousands of whom have lost their primary supporting jobs; jobs that came with benefits and pensions; jobs that allowed you to raise a family. Tough times for the hundreds of thousands of young people who have witnessed the exploding cost of higher education, a four-year degree now costs on average 460 per cent more than it did just 15 years ago, and tough times for our seniors trying to live on the rapidly devaluing Canada Pension Plan while struggling to pay exploding heating, medication and food costs.
