Thousands march for water justice in Marseille

| March 17, 2012

An estimated 5,000 people marched for water justice this afternoon on the streets of Marseille, France.

The march was joyful, creative, musical and fun. It was a march with a feeling of ascendancy by a movement that had won a human right and was ready to take it further.

The morning started cloudy and overcast, but by the time the march began the sun was out and the sky was blue.

It was a march that rejuvenated our spirits after a busy and challenging week. It re-energized and allowed us - as we prepare to leave Marseille - to re-commit even more fully to the fight for the implementation of the right to water and sanitation.
