Author, journalist, and photographer Hadani Ditmars has reported from Lebanon, Israel/Palestine, and Iraq, often examining the human costs of sectarian strife as well as cultural resistance to war, occupation and embargo. Her work has been published in the NY Times and The Guardian and broadcast on BBC and CBC TV and Radio.



Hadani returned to Baghdad recently for the first time since the fall of 2003, when she was there to research her book Dancing in the No Fly Zone: a Woman’s Journey Through Iraq, to write and photograph the May issue of New Internationalist magazine on Iraq and the legacy of invasion.
