The Call Out:

Bridge the Divide action from Occupy Toronto on January 1 to Niagara Falls.

Join us for the first international simulcast General Assembly where we will demonstrate in solidarity with our brothers and sisters across the Niagara river and the Internet.

This event will bring awareness to the impending North American Union, recent border legislation, and comment that while a unified earth is our hope, we do not want to be ruled by a plutocracy set out to globalize the world for personal profit. The people, united, can never be defeated, so they divide us to conquer us. Bridge the divide.

We will be arriving at Niagara at an unspecified location (for now) and then we shall have a simultaneous GA with Occupy Buffalo at either end of the bridge. Then we will make sure, along with Legal Observers and Legal Aid, that we do have permission to get on the bridge as a peaceful group, who won’t disturb the flow of traffic or other pedestrians.

We are not about to endanger ourselves or our fellow Occupiers, we want to do this the right way as Citizens of Canada because of the immense symbolism that will go along with the success of this action.

Please only click attend if you ARE 100% sure you are attending we need to get a number so we know how many buses we need.

We leave Toronto from City Hall at 9 a.m. and return from Niagara at about 3 p.m.

If you’re from Hamilton, London or any other city surrounding Toronto check with your local Occupy on their participation for this event.
