rabbletv features live broadcast of Tamil demonstration

| May 13, 2009

The Tamil diaspora in Canada has been mounting a remarkable effort to draw attention to the human rights abuses their friends and family members are facing at the hands of the Sri Lankan armed forces.

From Vancouver to Toronto, these protests have surprised many Canadians with their energy and visibility.

Today rabble.ca is broadcasting a live feed from the Tamil Students and Youths in Canada, who have organized another protest in Toronto at noon today. They plan on forming a human chain at the Ontario Legislature, and are welcoming all people who wish to stand in solidarity to join them.
