This is rabble.ca's staff blog. Visit this blog regularly for updates about rabble, and comments and observations from staff members, with occasional visits by board members and volunteers. Our staff blog is represented by our website "mascot" Ruckus, the sock monkey, who joined us in 2006. Ruckus cheers us on through fundraising campaigns and membership drives, and reminds us to keep perspective in the midst of the challenges of running an independent media website.

You say goodbye, I say hello: New folks and new roles at rabble.ca

| December 10, 2009

At rabble.ca there are some changes afoot. Our long-time in cahoots editor, Jenn Watt, is leaving us to be a full-time editor at four community newspapers in rural Ontario (congrats Jenn!). Jenn has done a great job promoting the issues (and webpages!) of our labour and social movement partners as she developed and grew the in cahoots section of rabble.ca. Jenn will be missed - though she won't be far, as she is editing the next edition of Best of rabble.ca (look for it in February 2010!)

We are happy to report, though, that veteran babble moderator Michelle Langlois is moving on over to be the new in cahoots editor. We know that Michelle will bring her great eye for stories, her passion for justice, and her amazing typing skills to in cahoots. To learn more about becoming an in cahoots partner please click here.

We also want to welcome Jennifer Henderson, a new rabble intern working from Ottawa, who you will find promoting rabble stories on Twitter, Facebook and other social media spaces and Kristen Hanson is from Belleville, Ontario who will be our new photo intern.
