This is rabble.ca's staff blog. Visit this blog regularly for updates about rabble, and comments and observations from staff members, with occasional visits by board members and volunteers. Our staff blog is represented by our website "mascot" Ruckus, the sock monkey, who joined us in 2006. Ruckus cheers us on through fundraising campaigns and membership drives, and reminds us to keep perspective in the midst of the challenges of running an independent media website.

To meet our donation drive goal we need support from 0.0005% of you

| February 17, 2012

$4,000. That's the money we need to reach our goal of $15,000 for our winter donation drive. We're pretty close. In fact, if 80 people give us $50, we're done! Eighty people -- that's less than 0.0005 per cent of the people who will visit rabble.ca this month.

Can you help get us to our goal and keep our must-have media site going and growing?

A very sincere thank-you to everyone who has supported rabble during this drive and helped us raise $11,000 so far. Please encourage a friend to join you, which you can do with our "tell a friend" feature.

Your money goes far at rabble.ca. We're working hard to keep adding important content and contributors to our site. For example, you can now find renowned scientist Dr. David Suzuki's blog on rabble, with more exciting new bloggers and new podcasts about to come on board.

It takes a community to make community radio, please pledge your support today.
