Niki Ashton was the youngest MP in the House of Commons when she was first elected in 2008, but by 2011 she had earned a reputation for tirelessly supporting First Nations rights, protecting the Canada Wheat Board and improving access to higher education. As an NDP leadership candidate, Niki is trying to replace the old gamesmanship of Ottawa with her “New Politics.”
