Pride season 2012 continues to go strong across the country. Thousands lined the streets on Sunday, August 19th for Montreal's Pride Parade. Hundreds of floats from community groups and businesses danced and partied along Boulevard René Lévesque.

Notable in this year's parade was a strong NDP presence, as well smaller but very visible contigents from the the Federal Liberals, and Greens.

The federal conservative's absence was noted: a small plane flew back and forth over the crowd with the aerogram "Stephen Harper nous deteste.ca".

A section called "Gai ecoute" amassed politicians from all levels of government in Quebec, though with the first of the Quebec election debates happening that evening, the only provincial leader present was Quebec Solidiare co-leader, Amir Khadir.

Here are some more photos from the day:

Hi,there! A good gathering in Pride. That's the nice effort to simply gather people and to do a lot of fun.
