This is rabble.ca's staff blog. Visit this blog regularly for updates about rabble, and comments and observations from staff members, with occasional visits by board members and volunteers. While our website "mascot" Ruckus the sock monkey is on vacation, our staff blog is represented by this gorgeous ladybug, who is sporting the *rabble.ca* colours and reminds us that there are good, "beneficial" pests, like independent media who bug the right folks.

Our new year's resolution is to get in shape -- financial shape

Our new year's resolution is to get in shape -- financial shape

Are you still hitting the gym, cutting back on Second Dessert, and being nicer to your neighbour? Perhaps you are resolved to be more involved? One great way to make a contribution to your community is to help us keep our resolution -- to get in better (financial) shape. We are determined to have more stable funding and the best way to do that is to have many people giving a little bit.

With a few hundred thousand people visiting rabble every month we need under 1% of our visitors to donate $20 to beat our donation drive goal and meet our new year's resolution. Donations can be made at rabble.ca/donate. Please help us out today!

Know what helps meet a resolution? Rewards. So every week during our donation drive we do a draw for prizes. You could win great prizes such as one of 25 Beacon Bike Lights, one of five Canadian CD music packs, our new rabble.ca tote bag, or even a year's supply of Zatoun Fair Trade Extra Virgin Olive Oil (six 750 ml bottles).

Now, off for a healthy walk...
