rabble.ca: Better Than Ezra. (Much, much better)

Think rabble.ca is Better Than Ezra? Chip in to keep Canadian progressive media vibrant and sustainable.

Sun TV may be out of business, but its far-right commentator, Ezra Levant, isn't.

He wants to continue his attacks on Canadian progressives like you and me, and has raised thousands of dollars from Conservatives to support his online news website.

This is a challenge to all of us.

Are we going to let Ezra Levant's Conservatives raise more money than rabble.ca's progressives? Join us in keeping Canada's progressive media healthy, vibrant and sustainable.

Ezra's only been online for a few days, and already he is attacking:

  • Sex education in public schools
  • Women's equality
  • The NDP
  • The Liberals
  • Fair tax rules
  • Barack Obama’s veto of the Keystone XL pipeline
  • Unions supporting their communities
  • Freedom of religion

He has raked in over $20,000 this week to fund his Conservative attacks against us.

Let's send a message! Please show that you support independent, ethical, and progressive journalism by making your donation to rabble.ca right away.

We are only a few thousands away from reaching our $30,000 goal for our winter fundraiser.

Please become a monthly supporter at $8 each month, or make a special, one-time gift of $45 using our secure donation page.

Thank you for reading this story…

More people are reading rabble.ca than ever and unlike many news organizations, we have never put up a paywall – at rabble we’ve always believed in making our reporting and analysis free to all, while striving to make it sustainable as well. Media isn’t free to produce. rabble’s total budget is likely less than what big corporate media spend on photocopying (we kid you not!) and we do not have any major foundation, sponsor or angel investor. Our main supporters are people and organizations -- like you. This is why we need your help. You are what keep us sustainable.

rabble.ca has staked its existence on you. We live or die on community support -- your support! We get hundreds of thousands of visitors and we believe in them. We believe in you. We believe people will put in what they can for the greater good. We call that sustainable.

So what is the easy answer for us? Depend on a community of visitors who care passionately about media that amplifies the voices of people struggling for change and justice. It really is that simple. When the people who visit rabble care enough to contribute a bit then it works for everyone.

And so we’re asking you if you could make a donation, right now, to help us carry forward on our mission. Make a donation today.
