Chip in to keep stories like these coming.

Everything is political, and nowhere more so than on babble, rabble.ca‘s discussion board. Until the October election we’re bringing you weekly highlights from babble’s Election 2015 forum, the place where everythinng and anything federal election is discussed.

One of the more divisive issues is that of whether First Nations should vote in the upcoming election. First Nations and other land-defenders have been profoundly impacted by the Harper government so it can be argued that they have a powerful vested interest in voting for change. On the other hand it can be argued that a change for Canada will make little or no difference to First Nations people who will face the same injustices regardless of who is in power. Read and participate in the discussion in this thread.

In one of our newest threads there is discussion about a pro-Tory group that wants to sponsor ten Canadians living in Israel to fly to Canada to get out the Jewish vote and vote themselves. As with most of our discussions having to do with Canadian-Israeli relations, there will be strong opinions from multiple perspectives.

Since early this year babblers have been scathing about Justin Trudeau’s every error, blunder or minor bit of folly in this thread. Trudeau has his defenders on babble for sure, and they regularly go up against the pro-Mulcair camp, which makes for lively and interesting discussion in what could otherwise be an NDP echo chamber.

For a more general discussion, look to our latest federal election thread. It’s partisan, it’s scrappy, and it makes for great reading and debating. In fact, this isn’t our first federal election thread – the last one was so active it grew too unwieldy we had to start another one, and the current one is growing even more quickly than the last!

As mentioned in last week’s roundup, just as active, our latest polling thread brings all the numbers into one place where babble contributors keep on top of the latest polling results. So if you love to follow the polls, this is the thread for you.

Whether you have strong opinions you just can’t keep to yourself or you like to read those of others, babble is the place to go for the best in political discussion.
