It’s that time of the week again where we take a look at all things election from rabble’s discussion board, babble, where election junkies of all (well, most) political stripes discuss and debate Canada’s election issues.

Let’s start out with one of our biggest, most active threads, the appropriately named Federal election thread. Begun just this past August, it has over 500 comments and has been read more than 11,000 times. Wow. We also have federal election threads for Quebec, British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario.

Do NDP supporters have the right to expect the party to have a “this far, and no further” point on the rightward shift? That’s the title of this thread. Some babblers are highly critical of the NDP’s move to the centre, while others are fine with them doing whatever needs doing to get elected so long as it’s legal. Where do you stand?

If trade justice as an election issue interests you, check out this thread where people are talking about the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) and whether the Harper government will be able to push it through while still in the driver’s seat. If this happens, writes one babbler, we’ll be “toast”.

The refugee crisis and Harper’s less than compassionate immigration policies have become major election issues. Read about it in Refugees, Harper and Canada.

If you watched the Globe and Mail‘s leaders debate on the economy, you might want to check out our economy/budgets thread, where babblers discuss austerity, defecit spending and balanced budgets.

And finally, here’s the link to our very popular latest polling thread where you can find out the latest news from the polls.
